Portal social preview images

When someone pastes your portal URL (yoursubdomain.affonso.io or your custom domain) into X, LinkedIn, Slack, or Discord, those apps show a preview card. The image on that card is generated by Affonso. You do not upload it.

Where the image comes from

Affonso renders a public 1200×630 PNG from your portal name, logo, and brand color. The file is stored on Affonso's public asset host and is also available on your portal at /og. No login is required to fetch it.

The same image is used for the portal root and the /auth apply page. Sharing either URL should show the same preview.

Custom uploaded preview images are a separate feature and are not part of this default image.

If a preview looks stale

Social apps cache cards. After you change your portal name, logo, or color, Affonso regenerates the image. A new share, or the same URL with a query such as ?v=2, forces most apps to fetch the updated card.
