Control what customer information affiliates can see

Choose whether affiliates see anonymous identities, customer names, email addresses, or both.

Customer identities are hidden by default. Affiliates see stable anonymous labels such as Calm Bear instead of customer names or email addresses.

Change customer information visibility

  1. Open Affiliate Program.
  2. Scroll to Advanced Settings.
  3. Under Customer information visibility, click Configure.
  4. Select an option and click Done.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Visibility options

  • Hide customer identity: Shows an anonymous label. This is the default for existing and new programs.
  • Show customer name only: Shows the customer's name when available. Otherwise, Affonso shows an anonymous label.
  • Show customer email only: Shows the customer's email address when available. Otherwise, Affonso shows an anonymous label.
  • Show customer name + email: Shows the name as the primary label and the email address below it. If only one field is available, Affonso shows that field.

Where the setting applies

The selected visibility applies to affiliate-facing customer information in:

  • the Referrals table,
  • the Sales table,
  • payout transaction details, and
  • the embedded affiliate dashboard.

It does not change the customer information visible to your team in the program-owner dashboard.

Submitted referrals

Submitted Referrals are separate. Affiliates can see the customer details they entered when submitting a referral for review, along with its status and any rejection reason.

Only reveal customer information if this matches your privacy policy and your customers' expectations.
