Setting up a custom domain for your affiliate portal

Replace yoursubdomain.affonso.io with your own domain (e.g. partners.yourbrand.com). DNS records and verification.

By default your affiliate portal lives at yoursubdomain.affonso.io. You can point it to a subdomain on your own brand instead — for example partners.yourbrand.com — by adding a DNS record at your domain provider.

Setup

  1. Open Affiliate Program → Appearance.
  2. Click Add custom domain and enter the subdomain you want to use.
  3. Affonso generates a TXT verification record. Copy the host and value.
  4. At your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53, etc.), add the record:
    • Type: TXT
    • Host / name: as shown
    • Value: as shown
  5. Save the record at your DNS provider.
  6. Back in Affonso, click Refresh. Once propagation completes, status flips to Active and your portal responds on the new domain.

DNS propagation

Propagation typically takes a few minutes but can be longer depending on your provider's TTL. You can verify propagation at dnschecker.org before clicking Refresh in Affonso.

Notes

  • Use a subdomain you don't already point elsewhere (no conflicting A or CNAME records on the same host).
  • The TXT verification record can stay in place after activation — removing it does not break the portal.
