# Stripe Affiliate Program

Stripe takes the payment. It does not run your affiliate program. Affonso connects to Stripe so you can track trials and recurring revenue, set commissions, and pay affiliates.

## Stripe doesn't run affiliates

Stripe is a payment processor. Affiliate management sits on top of it.

* No native affiliate links, portals, or commission rules in Stripe
* You need software on top of your Stripe billing
* Affonso connects to Stripe so you can set commissions and invite affiliates

## What Stripe affiliate tracking must cover

The payment events that have to map back to a referral.

* Trials that convert later
* One-time charges and subscriptions
* Renewals and upgrades
* Refunds that reverse commission
* Checkout sessions and Payment Links

## Set up your Stripe affiliate program

Four steps from tracking to your first affiliates

1. 01
### Add tracking
Drop in the Affonso pixel so visits are recorded.
2. 02
### Connect Stripe
Authorize so payments map to referrals.
3. 03
### Set commissions
Fixed or percentage. One-time or recurring.
4. 04
### Invite affiliates
Branded portal, fraud checks, payout options.
## Accurate payouts on Stripe data

Commissions follow Stripe payment events, not estimates.

* Commissions from real Stripe payment events
* Self-referral detection on every plan
* Managed payouts on Growth and Elite: PayPal, Wise, or wire transfer

FAQ

## Stripe affiliate program FAQs

Answers about Stripe, tracking, refunds, and how affiliates get paid.

[Any questions? Reach out](mailto:hello@affonso.io)

### Does Stripe have a built-in affiliate program?

No. Stripe processes payments. It does not include affiliate links, partner portals, commission rules, or payouts for your product. You connect affiliate software to Stripe. Stripe's own partner programs promote Stripe, not your product.
